Looking Up
E-Niner’s all set to start the partial hospitalization program on Monday. I am counting down the hours. I will enjoy my break and spending more time with T783. More importantly, hopefully he will get the help he needs. Or at least get us to where he can go back to therapy settings to get the help he needs. Or magically turn into a new child, the one he’s always wanted to be and the one I’ve always hoped for. Hey, dreams can’t happen if they don’t exist!
The world stops when you spin
Stops to watch you
Wanting to help you
Wishing to be there, but not in your vortex
Who can survive your vortex?
Can you?
Can you ever stop
Or do you keep going and going
Running and running
From someone, from no one, but not stopping.
Not once.
Will you ever stop one day?
Will your fears get washed away?
Is there anything I can do?
Anything to help you?
I’d do anything to help you.

Christina, that is beautiful. You are such an incredible writer and poet. I will be praying all weekend for E-Niner new chapter in his life. I know Monday will be a turning point in all your lives.
Oh that is good news. Good that he will get the help he needs. I can’t imagine what you and your family have been through in the last year. And you must have big dreams if you have dreams at all! Perhaps he WILL come out a new child, perhaps this is the first step. Press on!
Im thinking of you all tonight. Im hoping this is exactly what everyone needs. I know it will be hard to leave him….but you need a break…..please dont try to take the time and get other things done…….take some time to get some extra sleep…..relax some. You’ve work so hard to help E-Niner…….this is the opportunity for you to get a break. While he is admitted, you should ask the hosp. social worker about your countys respite program. You might be able to get respite care once he comes home, to give you a little break.Keep us posted:)valarie
Hi Christina,You are a strong woman!! I am sorry to that you have to go through with a lot of challenges with E-Niner. It is about time to have E-Niner in the hospital. I work at the University of California San Diego Psychiatry Program and part of my work is to oversee the Nurses at our Children inpatient program. We have patient as young as 18 months. There’s a lot of kids with ADHD and it is a challenge deal with them however there is a lot of treatment option nowadays. Did the Psychiatrist ever try the use of Ritalin, Adderall, Concerta or Straterra? When I was working at the Kaiser Permanente Psychiatry Outpatient Program, these are the common medications that the Psychiatrist use to treat the children with ADHD. Christina, please call me if you need someone to talk with. My cell number is xxx xxx xxxx or office: xxx xxx xxxx. Best regards to you and your family as well as to your Mom, Dad and Deedah.Tita Dorothy(Tita Beth’s sister)
