dang, i just made some awesome gluten free “oatmeal.”

Ingredients:

1 cup Bob’s Red Mill Brown Rice Farina

3/4 cup Bob’s Red Mill Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP)

Lots of honey (sorry, I didn’t measure)

4 heaping tablespoons peanut butter (or other nut butter of your choosing)

1 teaspoon unsulphured molasses

Method:

Cook rice farina as instructed on packaging. I use a whisk to stir. Keeps it from getting too lumpy.

Prepare 3/4 cup of TVP as instructed on packaging. (The package gives instructions for preparing a cup, so you could prepare the cup and save 1/4 of the cup for something else.)

Once the TVP is prepared, cover the entire top of the mixture with a nice layer of honey and mix.

Add the TVP mixture to the saucepan of brown rice farina. Cover the entire top of this mixture with a nice layer of honey and mix.

Add creamy peanut butter and molasses.

Mix it all up.

Serve with a pat of butter and some milk, if you like.

This probably serves six.
